As Greenwood continues to grow, I’m focused on making sure we grow the right way — keeping our city affordable, our neighborhoods safe, and creating a strong future for the next generation.
RESPONSIBLE GROWTH
Greenwood is growing, but we need to grow the right way—welcoming new opportunities while preserving the character of our neighborhoods and what makes Greenwood home.
• Strengthening our neighborhoods — Building on the Westside Master Plan and other efforts shaped by the people who live there.
• Keeping city services ahead of growth — Making sure infrastructure and essential services keep pace as Greenwood grows.
• Improving the quality of life — Continuing to strengthen Greenwood’s parks and public spaces, including Foundry Park and Magnolia Park.
• Investing in Greenwood’s future — Building on our strong economic foundation, attracting new investment, and planning responsibly for residential and commercial growth while preserving the character of our community.
AFFORDABILITY
Greenwood should remain an affordable place to live, raise a family, own a home, and build a future.
• No tax increases — Keeping the burden on families and property owners low.
• Keeping city government affordable — Making responsible budget decisions and being mindful of how city spending affects taxpayers.
• Supporting local small businesses — Building on investments in Main Street and helping create an environment where locally owned businesses can succeed.
• Strengthening homeownership and neighborhoods — Helping families put down roots and keeping Greenwood’s neighborhoods strong.
SAFE AND STRONG COMMUNITIES
A safe Greenwood starts with strong public safety, supported first responders, and neighborhoods where families feel safe.
• Backing our police & firefighters — Ensuring our first responders have the equipment, training, and resources they need to do their jobs safely and effectively.
• Strengthening police & fire staffing — Recruiting and retaining qualified officers and firefighters so Greenwood has the personnel it needs.
• Taking a tough approach to crime — Supporting proactive law enforcement, holding offenders accountable, and working to keep crime off our streets.
• Protecting our neighborhoods — Addressing public safety concerns and working to keep Greenwood a safe place to live, raise a family, and do business.
GREENWOOD’S NEXT GENERATION
Strong communities start with strong schools and a commitment to helping the next generation learn, grow, and build a successful future in Greenwood.
• Supporting stronger educational opportunities — Working alongside schools and community organizations to strengthen opportunities for students.
• Preparing students for life and the workforce — Connecting students with local leaders, industries, and experiences beyond the classroom.
• Building on the Mayor’s Youth Council — Continuing a program that now includes its largest class ever, with 55 students learning about local government and sharing their perspectives.
• Creating the foundation for long-term success — Strengthening partnerships with schools, nonprofits, youth programs, and community organizations already investing in Greenwood’s next generation.
