YOUTH & COMMUNITY​​

​

  • Mayor’s Youth Council — Grew the program to its largest class ever, with 55 students learning how local government works and providing input on Greenwood’s future.

  • Starz24 Boys & Girls Club — Helped bring the Starz24 Boys & Girls Club of the Lakelands to Greenwood alongside Greenwood native and NFL veteran Josh Norman, expanding opportunities for local youth.

  • Connecting with Greenwood’s Students — Regularly meets with students from elementary school through college and partners with organizations including the YMCA, MODELS Academy, Call Me MiSTER, Optimist Shift, Next Level Lifestyles, and Greenwood-Abbeville Little League.

NEIGHBORHOODS & QUALITY OF LIFE​

​

  • Westside Master Plan — Worked with residents of the historic Westside neighborhood to develop a plan shaped by their direct input, with a focus on preserving the neighborhood while guiding future investment.

  • New & Improved Parks — Opened Foundry Park in South Greenwood, advanced an upfit to Magnolia Park, and continued another phase of improvements at Grace Street Park to expand recreational opportunities across the city.

  • 100+ Community Cleanups — Trash Time with Tara and partnerships with Keep Greenwood County Beautiful, the Mayor’s Youth Council, PalmettoPride, Lander University, and local volunteers have completed more than 100 organized cleanups across Greenwood.

  • First City-Wide Litter Pickup — Greenwood’s first annual event drew 128 volunteers who collected 281 bags of litter in just two days.

  • City/County Litter Coordinator — Created a dedicated position to better coordinate litter resources, education, and cleanup efforts across the community.

PUBLIC SAFETY & CITY LEADERSHIP​​

​

  • Police & Fire Investment — Directed a significant share of city resources toward public safety, including annual budget funding and federal relief dollars for Greenwood’s police and fire departments.

  • Crime-Fighting Technology — Added license plate-reading technology to help law enforcement identify and locate offenders more effectively.

  • Police & Fire Staffing — Continued pursuing dedicated funding to increase the number of police officers and firefighters serving Greenwood.

  • Open & Accessible Government — Made City Council meetings available by livestream and kept the Mayor’s contact information public, giving residents greater access to their city government.

  • Experienced Municipal Leadership — Completed both the Municipal Elected Officials Institute and the Advanced Institute, with additional training in public safety, budgeting, economic development, and municipal governance.
